The ever important possibly life changing 1st blog post

Well life changing for me in the remote possibility sense...not necessarily you but if it does let me know.
I figure since I now have followers I better get on the ball and post something that will....
1-Captivate my current reading audience and keep them anxiously awaiting for the next installment. Who will in turn tell all their friends and facebook friends for that matter about this funny quirky possibly slightly annoying and actually quite random blog.
2-Which route do I take it? Do I go the pee your pants funny route that everyone expects or do I show them soft sensitive deep thoughts from a shallow mind Dave that I keep so closely guarded? Tough call.
3-Garner me just enough national but not necessarily critical acclaim so that they will eventually make a coffee table book and then a TV show spin-off about my blog posts and they'll cast William Shatner to play my dad...though he'll have to grow a fu manchu but therein lies the problem. No not that William Shatner couldn't grow the mustache; that's what all the Hollywood make up artists are for but that I used up all my creative juices in creating the blog that I've got nothing left to give the world. Oh well maybe I'll think of something by the time post #2 pops into my head.
